James Paul Park is an American jazz pianist and vocalist specializing in music from The Great American Songbook. James’s piano style has roots from Harlem Stride, New Orleans Jazz and Cool Jazz traditions. James started out as a classically trained trumpet player, but quickly transitioned to jazz piano early in early adulthood when he discovered a natural ability to play piano by ear. James is a follower of Earl Hines, Teddy Wilson, Art Tatum, Ellis Larkins, Hank Jones, Armand Hug, Sullivan Fortner, Bill Charlap, Rossano Sportiello, Ehud Asherie and many others.
